ABOUT THE HAPTX ENGINE
HaptX is a state of the art Haptics Engine enabling developers to integrate 3D touch into their games through the award-winning Novint Falcon.

Reachin, the makers of HaptX, has developed cutting edge software for haptic applications since 1997 and besides companies within the computer games industry, our list of customers includes NASA Ames, Chevron, BMW, and the US Army. HaptX is Reachin's 5th generation Haptic 3D Touch Engine, and embeds 10 years of know-how into a product which already has proven itself in games like the Penumbra Series and Quake 4.

The in-house HaptX Development Team always strives to push the boundaries for 3D Touch for games, and in that process HaptX has become a very powerful middleware toolkit. If you are a developer and want to use the best possible tools for adding 3D Touch to your games, then HaptX is for you.

HaptX Features:
» ForceModels - fully animatable force effects like weapon recoils, explosions, heartbeats, magnetic fields and much more.
» SurfaceModels - feel both hard and soft objects in full 3D, including surface properties like friction and texture. Within a game, the player can feel the texture of a hard and rough stone wall, or the smooth, soft and silky feel of a fine fabric.
» PhysicsModels – out of the box connections to the physics engine of your choice.
» NavigationModels - control the camera within a game or 3D application by the use of NavigationModels which are provided in the HaptX library.
